Job summary

Portland Community College seeks a Testing Assistant for the Corrections Education team. You will proctor CASAS and GED testing for adults in custody at Columbia River Correctional Institution, ensuring accommodations are provided as needed.

You will maintain testing records, escalate issues, and support learners from diverse backgrounds in a secure classroom setting. This casual role supports PCC’s education mission and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of testing policies and procedures.
• Ability to interpret test results and apply accommodations.
• Experience providing customer service in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide CASAS and GED testing for Adults in Custody (AIC) at Columbia River Correctional Institution.
• Provide approved accommodations for testing according to Oregon Department of Corrections guidelines.
• Proctors make-up testing for students unable to take the test as scheduled.
• Maintain records following established guidelines and procedures.
• Escalate issues to Testing Lead, Education Coordinator, or Education Director as appropriate.
