Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors by following site procedures and access-control protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and entry points.
• Monitor entry/exit activity, verify authorization, and document visitors and incidents.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and emergencies per established procedures.
• Identify and report suspicious activity or safety concerns to appropriate personnel.

As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government correctional location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sat 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking areas, and access points to help identify unusual conditions and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor and control entry and exit activity, verify authorization as required, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Support a professional environment by observing and reporting suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, and/or violations of site policies to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
