Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part-Time Correctional Security Officer - Entry Authorization in Columbia, SC. You will perform unarmed patrols, manage access, and respond to incidents while providing exceptional customer service to staff and visitors.

This role requires a valid driver’s license for driving positions, a high school diploma or equivalent, and successful background and drug screenings.

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and other authorized individuals by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies within a correctional facility environment.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, building exteriors, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to designated locations, verify authorization as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate observations to site leadership and applicable personnel.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
