Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state of the job.
• A state, county, or city-issued security professional license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized individuals by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify authorization as required, and document visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.

As a Correctional Security Guard - Full Timein Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A state, county, or city-issued security professional license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
