Job summary

Alpharus Health is seeking an Employment Specialist in Ocala, FL to evaluate client employability and build job readiness. You will develop training materials, establish employer relationships, and guide clients toward meaningful employment within the corrections-focused system.

Requires a Bachelor's in social work or related field and Florida background checks. Travel statewide, strong communication, and coaching skills are essential for helping diverse populations secure employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, vocational rehab, or related field.
• Experience in workforce development or reentry services preferred.
• Knowledge of local labor markets and resources.
• Valid local driver's license, insurance and good driving record.
• Ability to pass a Level 2 background check in the state of Florida.
• Knowledge of CRPS certification standards and employment in Florida.
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS.
• Strong coaching, mentoring, and feedback skills.
• Ability to travel within the State.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and implement assessment tools to determine clients' skill levels, interests, and employability.
• Create training materials and course objectives for job readiness and goal achievement.
• Establish relationships with employers and community agencies for job placement.
• Maintain knowledge of occupational outlook and update responsibilities and qualifications of positions; understand applicable rules and resources.
