Job summary

Alpharus Health is seeking an Employment Specialist to join our corrections-focused behavioral health team in Sanderson, FL. In this role, you will assess clients, build training materials, and partner with local employers to facilitate job placements.

You will work Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM, with potential travel within the state. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and knowledge of CRPS standards are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, or related field.
• Experience in workforce development, case management or reentry services preferred.
• Knowledge of local labor markets and community resources.
• Valid Florida driver’s license, insurance and good driving record.
• Ability to pass Level 2 background check in Florida.
• Knowledge of correctional systems and challenges faced by INCARCERATED individuals.
• Knowledge of CRPS certification standards and Florida employment requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, selecting and implementing assessment tools to determine client employability.
• Creating training materials and course objectives for job readiness training.
• Establishing relationships with employers and community agencies for job placement.
• Staying updated on occupational outlook and regulations; using resources to inform responsibilities and qualifications.
