Job summary
Alpharus Health, Inc. is hiring an Employment Specialist to support clients in Marion and Lowell correctional facilities in Ocala, FL. You will assess employability, develop training materials, and build partnerships with employers to place clients in meaningful jobs.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in social work or related field, strong communication, and knowledge of recovery-oriented supports. Travel within the state is expected; correctional settings experience is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in social work, counseling, vocational rehab, or related field.
- Knowledge of recovery-oriented peer support and vocational rehabilitation preferred.
- Familiarity with correctional systems and workforce development beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating, selecting and applying assessment tools to determine clients' skill levels and employability.
- Creating training materials and course objectives for job readiness.
- Establishing relationships with employers and community agencies to aid job placement.
- Maintaining knowledge of occupational outlook and updating position responsibilities as needed.
