The South Dakota Department of Corrections is hiring an instructor to provide effective programs that enhance public safety and prepare offenders for successful reentry into the community. You will deliver classroom instruction in social and life skills and GED content areas, and proctor GED/TABE testing.

An ideal candidate has a degree enabling SD teaching or prior teaching experience; a teaching certificate is not required.

• Provide classroom instruction to offenders in social and life skills and GED content areas (math, science, reading, language arts, social studies).
• Proctor GED and TABE testing.
• Perform administrative duties: record keeping, create class schedules, document enrollment and outcomes.
• Classroom preparation, attend staff meetings and professional development.
