Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of custody, safety and Oregon Jail standards.
• Ability to perform inmate intake processing and classification tasks.
• Experience with data entry into local, state, and federal systems.

Responsibilities

• Intake processing: assess medical/mental health status and intoxication; review arrest paperwork; classify and house inmates; conduct booking and searches.
• Application of restraints and administration of medication; monitor for suicide prevention; perform first aid/CPR and transport inmates as needed.
• Technology/training: maintain jail/courthouse security systems, record welfare checks, manage inmate movement and receipts.
• Customer Service: assist public/media, manage records requests, coordinate with external service providers, support crisis response.
• Transport, investigations, and specialized assignments: armed and high-risk transports; coordinate court appearances; conduct investigations and write reports.
