Job summary

Franklin County Corrections Center is seeking a Corrections Deputy to manage offender intake, custody, transport, and care in a safe, secure facility. You will uphold health, welfare, safety, and security of offenders, staff, and visitors with adherence to policies.

Responsibilities include securing offenders, maintaining logs, coordinating court appearances, and overseeing counts, searches, and basic needs. Training and certification as a WA Corrections Officer are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with corrections/security training.
• Eligible for county insurance after background check.
• Certified or eligible as Corrections Officer in WA.
• Must have a valid Washington State driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Process new offenders, perform searches, and assign housing.
• Input and maintain offender files and incident reports.
• Ensure custody during transport to court or facilities.
• Operate electronic security equipment and monitor movements.
• Conduct offender counts and record count statistics.
• Assist with release and work release program coordination.
• Draft and submit incident reports and maintain logs.
