Job summary

Michigan Department of Corrections seeks a Departmental Analyst to manage litigation activities between the Institution and the Attorney General, plus FOIA coordination. You will support the Warden's Office, review processes, investigate and respond to prisoner Step II grievance appeals, and liaise with legal and DHS partners as needed.

The role includes updating facility operating procedures and coordinating CFA processes for Policy and Hearings.

Qualifications

• Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
• Three years of professional experience, including one year at the experienced (P11) level in state service.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the facility FOIA Coordinator and coordinate updates to operating procedures.
• Assists the Warden and Warden's Secretary by performing professional duties and reviewing processes.
• Act as liaison with attorney, Courts, and Department of Human Services; schedule video conferences and teleconferences.
• Coordinate CFA processes for Policy and Hearings and act as liaison accordingly.
