Job summary

Washington Corrections Center in Shelton, WA is seeking Correctional Officer 1/2 trainees. The roles progress from CO1 to CO2 after completing the CORE Academy and Field Training. On-call and full-time shifts are available, with six weeks of paid training on hire.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED.
• Valid Driver's license.
• The legal (Constitutional) right to carry a firearm.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety and security in an adult correctional facility.
• Control movement of incarcerated individuals.
• Be a positive role model and help reintegrate individuals.
• Complete required training (CWC) and ongoing on-the-job training.
