Job summary

The Washington State Department of Corrections seeks a Community Corrections Officer at the Bellevue Field Office (23 148th Ave SE, Bellevue, WA 98007). The role may be filled as CCO2 or CCO1 in-training, with shift hours 0800-1700, Monday–Friday, and a salary range reflected in the agency postings.

In this role you will supervise individuals under supervision and collaborate with partners to improve public safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage supervised individuals (S/Is) under agency jurisdiction.
• Conduct investigations, searches, issue warrants, and make arrests.
• Complete intake and administer risk, needs, and substance abuse assessments.
• Maintain electronic and hardcopy files and reports.
• Engage with S/Is to promote positive change using Motivational Interviewing.
• Enforce supervision conditions and prepare documentation and testimony for courts.
• Identify, collect and secure evidence with proper chain of custody and firearm handling per policy.
• Work with internal/external stakeholders to support safe reentry into the community.
• Present sound case management decisions and manage duties independently as required.
