Jefferson County Sheriff's Office in Washington is seeking Corrections Officers to ensure the safety and humane containment of pre-trial and post-conviction inmates.

Positions operate on a 12-hour schedule with 3-4 days off weekly, handling bookings, movements, transport, meal service, and daily supervision. Candidates must pass a background check and complete the state Corrections Academy within one year.

Formación

• Must have computer and data entry skills.
• Abilities to read, analyze and interpret reports and documents.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain certifications and routine firearm qualifications.

Responsabilidades

• Observe, move, book, search, and process inmates in detention facilities.
• Transport inmates to court hearings and medical appointments; manage extradition.
• Oversee meal service, medication distribution, and daily activities; enforce facility rules.
• Interact with inmates and other agencies with professionalism; maintain records.
