Job summary

Alpharus Health seeks a Certified Substance Use Counselor (LPC / P-LPC / CADC / CRADC / MAADC) in Bowling Green, MO. The role is full-time at the Northeast Correctional Center, offering correctional healthcare experience and a strong benefits package.

Responsibilities include assessments, individual and group counseling, documentation, and care coordination. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s or master’s in a related field and state licensure credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or closely related field preferred.
• Possession of a masters-level state licensure in social work or counseling preferred
• CADC, CRADC, P-LPC, LPC, P-LMFT, LMFT, LMSW or LCSW is required
• Minimum 2-3 years clinical counseling experience, with concurrent experience in the treatment of substance abuse and dual-diagnoses preferred
• At least 6 months of development counseling experience with the program specific population preferred
• Must be able to obtain Missouri Department of Corrections clearance as the work environment is a correctional institution

Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive assessments of clients' substance abuse history and treatment requirements, and develops individualized treatment plan.
• Provides individual and group counseling and may facilitate didactic groups.
• Documents treatment and discharge plans, and clients' progress and responses to treatment; and maintains related records and charts.
• Performs case management and contributes to client care monitoring.
