Job summary

Coyote Ridge Corrections Center (CRCC) seeks a permanent, full-time Correctional Unit Supervisor to lead an I/I living unit and ensure safety, program delivery, and compliance with DOC policies. The role collaborates with program managers to maintain secure custody and effective reentry planning.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, directing operations, and enforcing standards while coordinating with community partners and law enforcement to uphold safety and program integrity.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED AND five (5) years’ professional corrections; criminal justice experience with (3) years’ progressive supervisory responsibilities, including one (1) year supervising personnel in a criminal justice arena.
• Demonstrated ability to provide positive leadership in times of stress, conflict, and unforeseen events.
• Working knowledge of incarcerated individual management and supervision including behavior management, classification process, sanitation, security and safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, monitor and direct the operations of an I/I living unit to include security practices, I/I program assignments, sanitation of the units, and compliance with DOC custody policies and operational memoranda.
• Direct the security and accountability of I/I assigned to the unit. This ensures the safety of staff, I/I, visitors, volunteers, and the general public.
• Plan, direct and monitor unit programs and staff, including supervision of Classification Counselors, support staff, and officers.
• Establish and prioritize performance expectations for staff utilizing core correctional practices.
• Participate with other management team members to develop, review, and implement policy decisions and strategic plans.
