State of Tennessee in Knoxville seeks a Training Academy Instructor to develop, deliver and evaluate correctional training for adult, youth, and community programs. You will design curricula, conduct trainings, assess trainee performance, and maintain records.

Eligibility requires a bachelor’s degree and at least one year of related experience, plus passing background checks and POST-related qualifications where applicable. An MVR screening is conducted.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree and one year of full-time work in security, corrections, or related fields.
• Experience supervising or instructing in security, law enforcement, probation or parole.
• Substitution of experience for education may apply as described in the posting.
• Must participate in pre-employment and random drug testing and security clearances.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and conduct training programs and conferences on procedures.
• Prepare materials and classroom spaces for activities.
• Develop, design or acquire training manuals and curriculum materials.
• Represent the organization in training-related contacts and maintain student files.
• Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and manager input.
