Qualifications

• Ability to travel with reasonable accommodation.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must test negative on all drug screenings.
• Working knowledge of correctional environments and security policies.
• Ability to work mandatory/voluntary overtime.
• Ability to supervise offenders and staff to achieve results.
• Excellent oral and written communication with clear directions.

• Ability to delegate tasks and manage workload.
• Ability to coach, supervise and develop staff skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage safe offender movement and secure facility operations.
• Lead staff to uphold security of offenders, buildings, and grounds.
• Escort offenders to locations for meals, medicine, work, and recreation.
• Provide feedback on offender movements, activities, and rule compliance.
• Assist supervisor with security-related administration and tasks.
• Oversee offender work details and facility upkeep.
• Support rehabilitation efforts and program participation.
• Follow emergency preparedness and response procedures.
• Recruit, onboard and train employees; set expectations and measure progress.
• Ensure attendance and performance standards at assigned worksites.
