Management & Training Corporation’s East Texas Treatment Facility in Henderson, TX is seeking a Sergeant to supervise designated employees and oversee inmate custody in line with MTC and TDCJ directives. You will lead security operations, ensure safety, and enforce facility rules to maintain order.

The role emphasizes accountability, emergency response, and accurate record-keeping, with a focus on professional leadership and compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited senior high school or GED.
• Two years full-time correctional custody or law enforcement experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise designated employees.
• Custody and discipline of inmates in compliance with MTC and TDCJ directives.
• Supervise and provide custody and security of inmates during assigned work areas.
• Respond to emergencies to search for inmates and provide first aid when needed.
• Maintain records, forms and reports; ensure safety and compliance.
