Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) seeks a Lieutenant at the East Texas Treatment Facility in Henderson, Texas to lead with integrity and inspire teams. You will supervise sergeants and officers, ensure custody and discipline, and align operations with MTC and Texas Department of Criminal Justice directives.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 3 years in correctional or law enforcement with supervisory experience, plus relevant CJ coursework.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent (GED).
• Three (3) years of full-time correctional custody or law enforcement experience.
• One year supervisory experience preferred or substitutable by Operational Review Sergeant experience.
• Thirty (30) semester hours in Criminal Justice may substitute for one year of non-supervisory experience.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise assigned sergeants and correctional officers.
• Maintain custody and care of offenders and enforce order and discipline.
• Schedule staffing, training, and supervise staff in line with MTC and TDCJ directives.
• Oversee searches for contraband and provide security.
• Supervise offender custody including long periods of sitting and standing.
