Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide security and supervision to inmates; maintain post security.
• supervise inmate work crews; escort inmates to work sites; control equipment and keys.
• Patrol yards, cells, dormitories; observe inmate activity; manage conduct.
• Maintain order during meals and recreation; inspect living areas.
• Operate security equipment; manage movement of inmates, staff, public.
• Conduct inmate counts and searches for contraband; enforce rules.
• Prepare written reports on inmate behavior and movement.
• Participate on escape and apprehension teams; respond to riots and fires.
