NaphCare, Inc. is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for Weekend Nights in Bessemer, AL. The RN will perform health evaluations, administer medications, and manage chronic illnesses within a correctional setting, collaborating with correctional staff to ensure patient safety.

Applicants should have an AL RN license, BLS CPR, and strong nursing knowledge, with the ability to work in a controlled environment and adhere to facility protocols and safety measures.

Competenze

• Holds a current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in AL.
• Active BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred).
• Knowledge of nursing principles, safety standards, and corrective care procedures.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team, with flexible schedule.

Mansioni

• Performing initial health screenings and physical assessments of newly detained individuals.
• Monitoring and documenting patient health including vital signs, medical histories.
• Providing direct patient care, triaging, assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and coordinating services.
• Managing acute and chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, and diabetes.
• Responding to medical emergencies, providing first aid, and ensuring timely transport to appropriate healthcare facilities.
• Educating patients on preventative care, healthy lifestyle choices, and substance abuse prevention.
• Understanding and adhering to correctional facility security protocols, while working closely with correctional officers and other healthcare professionals.
