NaphCare, Inc. in Birmingham, AL is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at the Birmingham Work Release. This is a full-time night shift (7:00 pm–7:30 am), 36 hours per week with full benefits.

As a Correctional RN, you will perform initial health screenings, monitor patients, administer medications, manage chronic conditions, and respond to emergencies in a security-conscious setting. New grads are encouraged to apply and we provide on-the-job training.

Competenze

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state.
• BLS CPR certification (AHA) required.
• Knowledge of nursing principles, infection control, and safety standards.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Flexible schedule with overtime availability.
• Ability to interact with diverse patient populations.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• New graduates encouraged to apply; training provided.

Mansioni

• Perform initial health screenings and physical assessments of newly detained individuals.
• Monitor and document patient health including vital signs and medical histories.
• Provide direct patient care, triage, assess needs, develop care plans, and coordinate services.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, and diabetes.
• Respond to medical emergencies and ensure timely transport to facilities.
• Educate patients on preventative care and healthy lifestyle choices.
