Job summary

CHP Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for Pierce County Jail to provide direct and indirect nursing care within the scope of the State Board of Nursing Practice. The role is in-person, under supervision of the Health Services Administrator and Director of Nursing, with duties spanning assessment, documentation, and care coordination.

Applicants must hold an active RN license in the employing state and current CPR certification, with a preferred minimum of one year in a clinical

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of employment
• Current CPR certification
• Preferred minimum 1 year clinical experience in healthcare
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred
• MAT or SUD experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care under HSA and DON supervision
• Take and document patient history and vital signs; assist examinations and treatments
• Perform triage and minor medical/surgical procedures as needed
• Respond to medical emergencies with CPR until relieved
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other stakeholders to improve service delivery
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and accreditation standards
• Maintain documentation and use EHR tools with minimal supervision
• Support staff training and participate in regular meetings
