Staff Today Inc. seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for Denver, CO in a correctional healthcare setting. You'll assess patients, administer medications, monitor progress, and document care in the EMR while collaborating with physicians and the care team.

This is a full-time, contract position with 8- to 12-hour shifts and weekend coverage, offering benefits and opportunities for CEUs and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted Colorado RN license in good standing.
• 1 year of recent RN experience preferred.
• Copy of PSV from the licensing board or verification agency if required.
• Copy of current certifications (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, vaccinations).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other procedures within scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and ensure compliance with regulations.
