NaphCare, Inc. is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse to join our medical team at the Kitsap County Jail in Port Orchard, WA.

The RN will work with correctional officers and healthcare staff to assess patients, administer medications, and manage chronic conditions in a secure setting. Ideal candidates hold an active WA RN license, BLS CPR certification, and are committed to patient safety, confidentiality, and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in WA.
• Active BLS CPR Certification (AHA).
• Knowledge of nursing principles, safety standards, and infectious disease management.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Flexible schedule and overtime availability.
• Integrity, professionalism and adherence to Code of Conduct and facility policies.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and interview patients about health problems and medication history.
• Take vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
• Provide wound care, including cleaning and dressing injuries.
• Administer medications, including injections and monitoring reactions.
• Maintain medical records in the electronic health record TechCare.
• Observe patient health and mental health status.
• Provide emergency first aid.
• Provide patient education and discharge/release planning.
