Job summary

Roadrunner Health Services is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide holistic care to incarcerated patients under the direction of the Director of Nursing and Nursing Supervisor. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess needs, develop and adjust treatment plans, and ensure continuity of care within a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid RN license in applicable state.
• Must show current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certification.
• Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
• Prior experience providing nursing care and working with a high degree of autonomy required.
• Experience with direct care in correctional enviroment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, evaluate, and revise individualized treatment plans.
• Communicate with team members individually, at team meetings, and with written documentation as needed.
• Collect and document subjective and objective health information, laboratory, EKG, and other diagnostic tests to identify health needs and monitor patients.
• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to meet physiological, psychosocial, and emotional needs within the correctional setting.
• Administer ordered medications and monitor treatment outcomes and documentation.
• Monitor and document medication administration and ensure controlled substances accountability per regulations.
• Coordinate care with security staff while maintaining a positive, collaborative relationship.
• Deliver care with confidentiality within the limits of a correctional environment.
