Job summary

CorrHealth in Santa Fe, NM seeks a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to inmates, including assessment, planning, and treatment under medical supervision in a secure correctional setting.

You will collaborate with healthcare staff, maintain medical records, perform CPR/AED as needed, ensure HIPAA compliance, and support emergency response. Must hold an active RN license and BLS/CPR certification; background checks required.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess health problems of inmates and initiate medical records.
• Respond to day-to-day medical issues and emergencies.
• Administer prescribed treatments and medications as needed.
• Prepare patient examination areas and assist providers.
• Maintain IVs and monitor IV therapies; perform pharmacology tasks as required.
• Collaborate with Health Services Administrator and staff; may act as Charge Nurse.
• Follow emergency procedures and triage guidelines; perform CPR and AED as trained.
• Operate standard medical equipment (EKG, BP, glucometer, etc.).
• Educate patients on diet, hygiene, and chronic disease prevention.
