Job summary

NaphCare is hiring a Full time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for the Benton County Jail in Kennewick, WA. You will work under a psychiatrist, providing mental health assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for residents in a correctional setting.

Four shifts per week with competitive hourly pay and full benefits. You will collaborate with correctional staff and other medical professionals to deliver high-quality care within a controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in WA
• A current DEA registration in State
• Must possess an active BLS/CPR Certification (AHA preferred)
• Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnosing mental health conditions for facility residents
• Medication management including prescribing, adjusting and discontinuing medication as needed
• Maintaining accurate patient records including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes
• Responding to psychiatric emergencies and implementing safety protocols within the facility
• Coordinate, lead and participate in educational training related to mental health care
• Ensuring compliance with state and federal mandates and regulations
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
