Job summary

Armor Health in Columbia, SC is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Richland Prison. The practitioner will conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose and treat patients, and coordinate care within a correctional setting.

Requirements include an active Psychiatric NP license, CPR, at least two years in psychiatric/correctional healthcare, EMR proficiency, and successful completion of pre-employment Level 2 clearance.

Qualifications

• Current state license as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Two years of experience in psychiatric and/or correctional healthcare setting.
• Proficient with electronic medical records.
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Performs psychiatric examinations and evaluations; diagnoses and treats patients.
• Develops treatment plans and education; follows up on care needs.
• Attends multidisciplinary huddle calls when needed for high-risk patients.
• Reviews patient histories and coordinates medication verification and care plans.
• Supports coordination of patient care and staff activities; helps develop mental health policies.
