Job summary

State of North Carolina - Adult Correction seeks a Correctional Programs Supervisor (S) at Wake Correctional Center to lead offender rehabilitation and re-entry programming.

You will supervise Correctional Case Managers, coordinate with custody staff and community agencies, provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention, and ensure programs meet goals across offender classification, incentive wage, adult basic education, and related activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services or criminal justice field AND one year of experience in corrections or related work.
• Documented knowledge of supportive counseling techniques and interview techniques for intake assessment.
• Documented knowledge of services available to individuals from the community and other public and private programs.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze and evaluate documents and behavioral data from interviews, written documentation and observation.
• Train, observe, evaluate and supervise Correctional Case Managers to meet goals.
• Coordinate Program activities with custody staff and community agencies for offender treatment and re-entry.
• Provide crisis intervention and routine counseling including suicide prevention.
