Job summary

The NC Department of Adult Correction seeks a leader to oversee a wide range of program services at Rutherford Correctional Center. You will direct corrective, rehabilitative, and therapeutic programs and supervise staff to ensure policy compliance and program integrity.

You will also handle offender classification processes, coordinate communication with stakeholders, and assist with facility operations and budget planning as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience applying departmental policies and procedures.
• Working knowledge of correctional programs and offender rehabilitation strategies.
• Experience interpreting assessment results and psychological factors related to offender behavior.
• Ability to synthesize data and apply knowledge of complex operations to classification decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, development, and evaluation of corrective and rehabilitative programs.
• Oversee staff development, recruitment, and performance processes.
• Coordinate resources and ensure policy compliance and program integrity.
• Manage offender schedules, programs, and activities with evidence-based practices.
• Serve as Associate Warden during the Warden's absence and rotate as Officer in Charge.
