Job summary

The State of Indiana is seeking a Corrections Team Manager to supervise a multidisciplinary unit and drive program improvements within a large state facility in Indiana. You will lead staff, ensure policy compliance, and coordinate with other departments to support offender rehabilitation and safety.

A foundational requirement is a strong service mindset with a focus on training, supervision, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Must test negative on all drug screenings.
• Knowledge of ACA standards.
• Ability to conduct effective training classes and on‑the‑job training.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage the work of the staff.
• Ability to establish a working relationship with staff and offenders.
• Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques.
• Ability to assess performance and contribute to staff development.
• Ability to delegate, set direction, and manage workflow.
• Ability to give feedback, coach, and develop employee skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to a multidisciplinary team responsible for custody, control, and delivery of services to the offender population.
• Review incoming case management policy and procedural information for distribution.
• Monitor Casework Managers for policy adherence using CQI assessments.
• Serve as a liaison between the unit team and other departments.
• Assist administration in evaluating proposed custody or treatment programs.
• Disseminate and enforce facility policy among offenders.
• Perform duties assigned by leadership.
• Recruit, onboard, and train staff for clear role responsibilities.
• Set expectations and evaluate staff performance.
