Job summary

MEDIKO is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-quality medical care to inmates in a correctional setting. You will conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans, prescribe medications, and manage chronic conditions.

Maintain records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and facility policies. The role requires state licensure, 3–5 years of clinical experience (correctional/underserved preferred), and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current, valid state license to practice in applicable clinical role (e.g., NP)
• Active CPR/BLS certification required
• Board certification in a relevant specialty preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years of clinical practice, with correctional/underserved experience preferred
• DEA registration if applicable

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical care to inmates, including assessments and treatment plans
• Prescribe medications and order tests as indicated
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure HIPAA compliance
• Collaborate with healthcare team for comprehensive care
• Lead nursing staff and promote teamwork
• Participate in staff development and ongoing education
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and policies
