Job summary

MEDIKO is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-quality medical care to inmates in a correctional facility. You will assess, diagnose, treat, and educate patients, while collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

You will prescribe medications, perform procedures, maintain records, and participate in on-call coverage as required. The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, safety, and quality improvement within MEDIKO's standards.

Qualifications

• Current, valid state license/credential (e.g., NP, MD, DO, RN, etc.)
• 3–5 years of clinical practice; 1–2 years in correctional/underserved settings preferred
• Active CPR/BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical care to inmates, including assessments and treatment plans
• Prescribe medications and order appropriate tests as needed
• Maintain accurate medical records and HIPAA compliance
• Lead and educate staff; participate in on-call duties and care plans
