Job summary

CorrHealth seeks a Licensed Practical/Nocational Nurse to support inmate care under RN supervision in a correctional health setting. You will participate in assessment, planning, and nurse-driven teaching while maintaining high standards of safety and privacy.

The role requires an active CO LPN/LVN license, CPR/BLS, and the ability to work with a diverse inmate population. This on-site position emphasizes teamwork and documented nursing care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Have and maintain current licensure as an LPN/LVN in Colorado.
• Must maintain CPR/BLS certification and TB test requirements.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, assist in assessment of inmates’ physical, psychological, and social health.
• Assist in planning and implementing individual treatment programs and inmate teaching.
• Administer medications and perform IV therapy when certified, following proper procedures.
• Support provider during evaluations and minor procedures using SOAP charting.
• Triaging and assessing healthcare requests within the Health Care Unit.
