Job summary

CorrHealth seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to support inmate care within a correctional health unit in Midland, TX. Under RN supervision, you will perform assessments, plan and implement care, and document outcomes using SOAP notes.

Responsibilities include medication administration (including IV therapy where certified), assisting procedures, triaging requests, and ensuring safety, sanitation, and HIPAA compliance. CPR/BLS and current TB testing are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Must hold an active LPN/LVN license in Texas.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• TB test current within one year.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, assist in assessing inmates' physical, psychological, and social needs.
• Assist in planning and implementing treatment programs and inmate teaching.
• Administer medications and IV therapy where certified.
• Assist in evaluations, procedures, and minor surgeries as needed with SOAP charting.
• Obtain body fluid specimens and perform EKGs using proper techniques.
• Maintain and document controlled substances and medical equipment.
• Triaging and addressing healthcare requests.
