Job summary

Mediko Inc is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care within a correctional setting. Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, treatments, and emergency response, while ensuring compliance with facility policies and infection control standards.

You will collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and correctional staff to develop and implement care plans, educate inmates on health management, and maintain thorough medical documentation

Qualifications

• Current, valid state nursing license to practice.
• Experience in direct patient care in healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control and safety standards in clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a correctional setting per policies and procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Perform initial medical screenings and ongoing care for inmates during incarceration.
• Document patient assessments and treatments accurately in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and correctional officers to deliver comprehensive care.
• Respond to medical emergencies promptly and ensure appropriate interventions.
