Advanced Correctional Healthcare is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for Watonwan County Jail in St. James, MN. The role provides nursing care, medication administration, and patient education within a correctional setting.

The ideal candidate holds a 2-year nursing degree, an active RN license in Minnesota, and BLS certification. Duties include documenting care, coordinating with practitioners, and maintaining infection control and HIPAA practices.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of service.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of RN scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurately assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients.
• Contact practitioner to obtain orders.
• Administer prescribed medication, treatments and other tasks as ordered by the practitioner.
• Provide emergency first aid care, when appropriate.
• Triage officer intake screenings for necessity and priority at sick call.
• Record care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner.
