Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Part-Time Nursing/Nursing Support professional to deliver patient-centered care at the Wadena County Jail in Minnesota. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring vitals, and coordinating with practitioners to ensure timely orders.

Requires an active RN license in the state, BLS certification, and strong documentation skills. On-site work with potential for cross-facility coverage and adherence to HIPAA policies.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state in which services are to be provided, in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of the RN scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurately assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients.
• Contact practitioner to obtain orders.
• Administer prescribed medication, treatments and other tasks as ordered by the practitioner.
• Provide emergency first aid care when appropriate.
• Check and record vital signs and other diagnostic tests on-site.
• Triage officer intake screenings for necessity and priority at sick call.
• Record information in chronic clinic and outcome study documents as indicated.
• Report reactions to treatments and medications, and changes in patient condition.
• Provide patient education on facility policies and discharge planning.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA practices.
