Advanced Correctional Healthcare is seeking a part-time registered nurse to provide frontline nursing care at the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office in Windom, MN. You will assess patients, administer medications, document care, and coordinate with practitioners to ensure timely, effective healthcare within a correctional facility.

The role requires an active RN license in the state, BLS certification, and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state where services are provided.
• BLS certification; hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of the RN scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients.
• Contact practitioner to obtain orders.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Provide emergency first aid when appropriate.
• Record vital signs, glucose checks, and other measurements on-site.
• Collaborate with other medical services for diagnosis and treatment.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control precautions.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA practices.
