Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive medical care at the Sheboygan County Jail and Detention Center. You will assess patients, administer prescribed medications, and coordinate with practitioners to ensure orders are followed.

The role requires an active RN license in the state, BLS certification, and strong documentation. You will perform triage, monitor vital signs, provide first aid, and contribute to infection control and patient education.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state of service, in good standing.
• BLS certification with hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of the RN scope of practice in correctional settings.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurately assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients.
• Contact practitioner to obtain orders and administer medications as prescribed.
• Provide emergency first aid care when appropriate and monitor vitals.
• Check and record vital signs, glucose checks, weight, and other tests on-site.
• Triage intake screenings for necessity and priority at sick call.
• Maintain infection control precautions and confidentiality per HIPAA.
