CoreCivic is seeking a Mental Health Therapist at our Eden, Texas facility. The role focuses on planning and providing non-medical clinical mental health services to inmates, delivering screenings, assessments, treatment plans, and crisis interventions.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in a related field, five years of clinical experience with two years in a similar position, and state licensure (LPC/LCSW/LMFT). A driver’s license is preferred.

Formación

• Graduate with a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or related clinical area.
• Five years of clinical experience, including two years in a comparable role.
• Current licensure/certification in the practicing state (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT).
• A valid driver's license is preferred unless required by contract or applicable statute.
• Minimum age requirement: 18 years or older.

Responsabilidades

• Conducts mental health screenings and assessments based on available records and clinical interviews with inmates.
• Provides treatment by developing, implementing and modifying individual treatment plans based on needs and functioning.
• Documents treatment and evaluation activities in the health care record for each person seen.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive materials and information at all times.
• Demonstrates knowledge of counseling theory and techniques through treatments and activities used for caseloads.
• Provides mental health assessments, counseling and crisis interventions for inmates.
