Job summary

CoreCivic seeks a Correctional Mental Health professional in Sumner, Mississippi, to plan and provide non-medical clinical services for inmates. The role centers on mental health therapy, screening, counseling, and crisis interventions within a correctional facility.

The ideal candidate holds a master's degree in a related field, 5 years of clinical experience (2 in a similar role), and state licensure (LPC/LCSW/LMFT). A valid driver's license is preferred where required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling or related field.
• Five years of clinical experience, including two years in a comparable job.
• Licensed or certified in the state (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT).
• Valid driver's license preferred where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health screenings and assessments from records and interviews.
• Develop, implement and modify individual treatment plans.
• Document treatment in health care records for each patient.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials at all times.
• Demonstrate knowledge of counseling theories and techniques for caseload care.
• Provide mental health assessments, counseling and crisis interventions as needed.
