Job summary

CoreCivic in Tutwiler, Mississippi seeks a Licensed Psychologist to join its mental health services team at a correctional facility. This direct-hire role focuses on psychological assessments, treatments, and comprehensive patient care in a correctional setting.

The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide screenings, counseling, crisis intervention, and ongoing care planning for individuals with complex behavioral health needs.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice Psychology in Mississippi.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, including at least 1 year in a comparable position.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological screenings, clinical interviews, and comprehensive assessments.
• Review records and evaluate individuals' mental health needs.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans.
• Provide psychological counseling and appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Conduct rounds in segregation and housing areas to assess mental health and adjustment.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, social workers, and other clinicians.
• Monitor behavioral changes and coordinate mental health interventions.
• Ensure continuity of care and integration of treatment activities.
