Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. is seeking an experienced Licensed Social Worker Mental Health Counselor to join the team at the Washoe County Jan Evans Juvenile Justice Center in Reno, NV.

This role works alongside correctional officers and medical staff to deliver counseling and mental health care in a controlled environment. The position requires at least 3 years of clinical experience, knowledge of psychotropic medications, and the ability to develop and implement treatment plans while maintaining

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of clinical mental health experience, preferably in correctional or acute care settings.
• Knowledge of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders and discharge planning.
• Ability to assess patients, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with facility policies and legal requirements.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat residents with mental illness and related issues.
• Perform mental health evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans; document care.
• Provide individual and group counseling; develop educational materials; lead programs.
• Coordinate with security personnel and healthcare staff to ensure quality care.
• Monitor compliance with ACA/NCCHC standards and facility policies.
