Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. is hiring a Licensed Social Worker Mental Health Counselor (LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, LMHP, LMSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC) for Mesa County Jail in Grand Junction, Colorado.

The counselor will assess, diagnose, and treat residents with mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders in a controlled correctional setting. Responsibilities include collaboration with staff, conducting evaluations and treatment planning, and providing individual and group therapy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in mental health care, preferably with corrections exposure.
• Knowledge of treatment for mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.
• Ability to assess patients and develop interventions and treatment plans.
• Strong communication, organization, and confidentiality adherence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with medical, mental health and correctional staff to ensure quality care in a secure environment.
• Perform and document mental health evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans, and group therapy as needed.
• Provide individual and group counseling and contribute to discharge planning and education.
• Document and manage case files, prepare reports, and participate in hearings.
