Job summary

NaphCare is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LCSW/LCMHC/LMFT, etc.) to join the Marion County Jail team in Ocala, FL. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating inmates with mental health and co-occurring disorders in a secure environment.

You will work with correctional officers and healthcare staff, delivering individual and group therapy, and ensuring compliance with ACA/NCCHC standards while maintaining patient rights and dignity.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted licensure in FL (LCSW/LCMHC/LMFT etc.)
• Master's degree in mental health field
• Active BLS CPR certification (AHA)
• Minimum 3 years’ clinical experience in mental health care (correctional experience preferred)
• Knowledge of DSM-V criteria
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with medical, mental health and correctional staff to enhance patient care while maintaining safety
• Perform and document mental health evaluations and treatment plans including individual and group counseling
• Develop educational materials and provide group therapy to residents
• Monitor compliance with site policies and ACA/NCCHC standards
