Job summary

NaphCare is seeking a licensed mental health professional to join the W. C. Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore, Alabama.

The Correctional Licensed Mental Health Counselor will assess, diagnose and treat adults with mental illness in a secure, structured environment. Active AL licensure (LCSW/LCMHC/LMFT/LC LPC/LMHC/LMSW) is required, along with strong communication and documentation skills and at least 3 years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mental Health required.
• Active licensure in AL (LCSW/LCMHC/LMFT/LMHC/LMSW) in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in mental health care or related setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients with mental illnesses and related disorders.
• Collaborate with medical, mental health and security staff to ensure safe, quality care.
• Document evaluations, progress notes and treatment plans; prepare reports and participate in hearings.
