Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. seeks an experienced Licensed Mental Health Professional (LCSW/LPC/LMFT) to join the Alabama Therapeutic Education Facility in Columbiana.

You will work with correctional staff to deliver counseling and mental health care to residents in a secured setting. This part-time days role requires a master's degree in mental health, active Alabama licensure, and at least three years of clinical experience, preferably in correctional health.

Qualifications

• Master's prepared Mental Health Professional with active, unrestricted licensure in Alabama.
• Active BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association preferred).
• 3+ years of clinical mental health experience, ideally in correctional settings.
• Knowledge of DSM-5/DSM-5-TR criteria and community resources.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to a Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat residents with mental illness and related needs.
• Collaborate with medical and correctional staff to ensure safe, quality care.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans; prepare reports.
• Provide individual and group counseling; address criminogenic needs for release.
• Participate in education/training for staff; ensure compliance with policies.
